Although I was told that my car would be delivered this upcoming Saturday, I was ecstatic when I heard that it would actually be here today after speaking with BMW yesterday. Anyways, my car arrived to the dealership at around 1:30 PM and I promptly cut out of work and headed over with my wife.

During financing, I opted for the Powertrain Plus warranty in the event that I'd like to keep the car beyond 4 years. The good news is that, should I sell my car in 4 years, I can either transfer the warranty or get a refund - sounds like a win/win in my book. I figured that this particular warranty should serve me very well and protect me in the event of a major mechanical failure. I can always pony out $$ for odds and ends (e.g., power window fails), but I won't be stuck with a blown engine, God forbid. Before purchasing this, I spoke with the Service Drive Manager to discuss how my Dinan tune may impact this warranty. A long story short, he stated that the odds of them/BMW rejecting the repair due to the Dinan tune (i.e., blaming Dinan) would be incredibly unlikely. In fact, in his years there, he has yet to see this ever happen. It's worth noting that I am VERY conservative and he made me feel quite comfortable in that I'd be protected in the 5th and 6th year should anything occur. Lastly, I opted for the windshield protection, but passed on everything else.

Now to the fun part. I'll warn you that these are iPhone pictures! I have some car washing stuff coming this week, so I'll do a proper wash and take pictures with my good camera this weekend. I still need to schedule some time to install the M Performance Splitter and Passport 9500ci, but one thing at a time. I will dry run the HK system for a couple of weeks and then install my BAVSOUND Stage 1 speakers so that I can provide a somewhat credible review. The last thing to go on will be the Dinan Stage 1 tune after the car is broken-in.

I'll post more impressions after I drive the car a bit more, but I can already tell that the 6MT is MONEY!
